Third International Training Course on Resilient Financing for Settlement Planning (I-ReFine)                           

The Linking Disaster Risk Governance and Land Use Planning: The Case of Informal Settlements in Disaster-Prone Areas in the Philippines (LIRLAP) is pleased to announce the third International Training Course on Resilient Financing for Settlement Planning (I-ReFine), scheduled from August 26 to September 5, 2024.

This course is a joint initiative of the Planning and Development Research Foundation (PLANADES) and The Institute of Spatial Planning of the Technical University of Dortmund (IRPUD - TU Dortmund). It aims to explore financial strategies essential for planning resilient settlements. Participants will gain insights into the concept of resilient financing and learn about best practices within the framework of risk-resilient settlement planning and implementation.

The training will feature a distinguished lineup of resource speakers, including esteemed academicians, specialists, and researchers from both local and international universities, as well as experts from allied industries and government institutions. The target audience includes planning officers and staff from relevant national government agencies and their bureaus in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
