INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (IFP)

The International Fellowship Program (IFP) aims to contribute in research, development, and capacity-building in the various fields of environmental planning including urban and regional planning. Specifically, it deals with SDGs, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), community-based Climate Change and Disaster Risk impact resiliency, transit-oriented development, real estate management and planning, risk-sensitive and inclusive land use and development planning, and other related fields and sectors which are directly or indirectly involved in national to local/ urban land use and development planning.

The applicant must be endorsed by their affiliated institution and must be able to comply with one of the following eligibility criteria:

1.Must be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and post graduate program from a recognized university/ school/ institution from their respective country’s Commission on Higher Education or equivalent;
2. Must be an employee in private/ government/ NGO/ CSO/ institution involved in the above-mentioned fields/ areas mentioned in the above introduction;
3. Must be undertaking research for their individual/ community purposes

The interested applicants shall convey their interest in joining the IFP by sending their letter of intent to PLANADES’ official email at info@planades.org. PLANADES will then provide IFP Application Form which requires endorsement from their affiliated organization. As there are only 15 slots available without any application/ registration fees, the interested applicants will be screened by the PLANADES Academic Advisory Committee using the following screening criteria:

•   Applicants from PLANADES’s partner institutions will be given priority

•   Research alignment with the objectives of PLANADES

•   Academic achievement, work experience, and previously published researches will be considered based on their status (i.e., graduate student, employee in government, private, NGOs, CSOs, etc.)

Please do note that if you wish to visit the Philippines for research purposes, PLANADES requires you to sign a waiver of no responsibility of PLANADES for all the engagements with any other institutions in the Philippines.

Further, any medical-related certification and/or insurance should be secured before leaving your country of residence.
