EVENT TITLE: DISASTER RESILIENCE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (DRSD) 2023: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH DEVELOPMENT, ASIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE CENTER, THAILAND
To achieve the strategic plan objectives of PLANADES over the next five years, including the development of local expertise through the empowerment of PLANADES and achieving diversification of its services, we aim to collaborate with local and international partners, academic institutions, and engage in research and development activities such as scientific organizations and research publications. In light of this, the PLANADES board, during its meeting on October 26, 2023, has resolved to present our research findings and establish a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. PLANADES participated in the 3rd International Symposium on Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development (DRSD 2023), from December 7 to 8, 2023 as an Institutional Partner. The Asian Institute of Technology hosted the Symposium, bringing together experts, practitioners, policymakers, and students from the Asia Pacific region and beyond. The event aimed to foster a discussion on enhancing development practices to mitigate long-term complex risks and promote sustainable equity. DRSD 2023, with its diverse thematic areas, is well-positioned to delve into the intricate challenges society faces and foster collaboration for effective solutions. The symposium took place in person, drawing eleven participants to fulfill PLANADES Objectives and adhere to their duties as an institutional partner.
