EVENT TITLE: PLANADES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DR. ENGR. TABASSAM RAZA, PARTICIPATED IN OECD-ADBI-OJK ROUNDTABLE ON INSURANCE AND RETIREMENT SAVINGS IN ASIA
Dr. Engr. Tabassam Raza, Executive Director of PLANADES, took part in the OECD-ADBI-OJK Roundtable on Insurance and Retirement Savings in Asia 2024, held on July 9-10 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The event, co-hosted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), was sponsored by the Government of Japan. It convened leading experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore significant issues affecting the insurance and pension sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Roundtable featured a range of discussions on critical topics, including the role of insurance in supporting climate mitigation, financial protection towards disaster risk, gaps in retirement savings, and leveraging technology to enhance insurance and pension systems. Dr. Raza contributed valuable insights through his questions, fostering deeper discussions on these pressing issues.
His involvement highlighted PLANADES' commitment to advancing financial resilience and sustainability. The event provided a platform for sharing ideas and best practices, offering significant perspectives on the development and regulation of insurance and pension markets across Asia.
Dr. Engr. Raza received the honor of being invited by the organizer to attend a reception dinner that was a true celebration of Indonesian culture.
