PLANADES Board of Trustees gathered for the Strategic Planning meeting last March 28-29
April 2, 2025 - PLANADES held a key strategic planning meeting last March 28-29, 2025 at SURP Training Room, UP Diliman, Quezon City with Engr. Jon Kasilag II, President and Co-Founder of AMH Philippines as its Guest speaker. The meeting was set to assess PLANADES’s progress on its 5-year strategic plan, originally launched in 2022, and to chart a clear course for 2025.
Now entering the midpoint of its strategic plan, PLANADES gathered to discuss major milestones, recalibrate priorities, and align current-year objectives with the Its long-term vision. The meeting emphasized both the achievements to date and the strategic adjustments needed to stay on track through 2027.
Dr. Tabassam Raza, executive director of PLANADES, reported strategic highlights including accomplishments, challenges, and growth opportunities for internationalization for 2024 as a baseline for this year’s path.

Ms. Jenie Darang, HR associate, shares Human Resource Management styles and its importance
The team also placed a strong focus on human resources, with Ms. Jenie Darang, HR associate of PLANADES, emphasizing the significance of human resource management and capacity building for employees towards promotion to continue workplace dynamics. Ms. Darang also reviewed the firm’s internal processes to identify potential ways to streamline the office

Engr. Kasilag II gave a talk about his experience as co-founder and president of AMH Philippines, an employee-owned, academe linked, Filipino engineering consulting company that was part of more than a thousand of projects in 5 years.
He shared the growth of AMH through the years offering insights on good corporate governance. The first day of the Strategic planning ended with Engr. Kasilag II being awarded a token for his support and wise input that serves as a guide for decision-making.

On the second day, Dr. Mark Anthony Morales gave insights, as PLANADES president, on how the firm should move forward to achieve immediate goals and objectives in line with the set 5-year strategic plan

Engr. Diane Sanchez, Associate Project Development Officer II, initiated the gap analysis by introducing strengths and challenges in PLANADES’s Project Development Office. The board of trustees thoughtfully provided insights based on their collective wisdom. This led to a roadmap designed specifically to develop PLANADES’s products and services, employees and experts, and its resources to better accommodate clients

With several transformative urban projects already in progress across the country and more in the works, PLANADES is positioning itself to remain at the forefront of sustainable and inclusive development in the Philippines. The updated 2025 roadmap marks a critical step in ensuring that mission stays on course.
