PLANADES and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) together with partner organizations participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Smart and Sustainable Communities Program (SSCP) Pilot Partnership with Science Foundation
On September 22, 2025, the Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (PLANADES), through its President Dr. Mark Anthony Morales, signed a memorandum of agreement with Department of Science and Technology (DOST) S&F Foundation for the Smart and Sustainable Communities Program (SSCP) Pilot Partnership. Also present during the signing were PLANADES Executive Director Dr. Tabassam Raza. The signing was led by DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum and Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang.
With the theme “Building Strategic Partnerships towards the Advance of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in the community development, the agreement underscored three core objectives: (1) to strengthen joint initiatives that apply science, technology, and innovation (STI) in community development, (2) to facilitate knowledge-sharing and resource-pooling for greater impact, and (3) to ensure inclusivity by making community-based programs science-driven and solutions-oriented.
Through this milestone’s partnership with DOST, PLANADES is committed in empowering communities and promoting sustainable national development.
