EVENT TITLE: PLANADES Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Pakistani Developer, Al-Kabir Builders
On September 27, 2025, the Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (PLANADES), a leading planning and research organization, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Al-Kabir Builders & Developers, a leading real estate and construction firm from Pakistan.

The signing took place on September 27, 2025, during the International Conference on the Nexus of Cultural, Psychosocial, Spatial Form, Climate Change Impact, Disaster Risk, and Sustainable Development Issues (IC-NCPSDS) held at the UP School of Urban and Regional Planning

The partnership signifies a significant partnership between the Philippines and Pakistan in the field of sustainable and resilient community development, particularly in the planning and design of subdivisions and housing projects that integrate climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and cultural considerations.
PLANADES is represented by Dr. Mark Anthony M. Morales, President, and Dr. Tabassam Raza, Executive Director while Al-Kabir Builders’ Mr. Chaudhry Aurangzeb was represented by Dr. Shaker Mahmood.
Under the MOU, PLANADES will provide its technical expertise in urban and regional planning, risk-sensitive land use, and climate-resilient design, while Al-Kabir Builders will contribute its extensive experience in real estate development, construction, and community design in Pakistan. This landmark collaboration is one of the few milestones in PLANADES’ achievement of their strategic plan in maintaining excellence and service on the international stage
